The Rivers State government has warned that there will be no amnesty for corrupt public officials in the state.
The Commissioner for Information and communication, AUSTIN TAM-GEORGE stated this during a media briefing in Port Harcourt.
The Commissioner assured that the administration of Governor NYESOM WIKE will remain committed to its moral obligation of keeping watch over the management of the commonwealth of Rivers State.He pointed out that all public officials who violate the public trust, through the misused of public fund would be held responsible.The Information Commissioner said the Rivers State government also wants the All Progressive Congress-led federal Government to extend its anti corruption campaign beyond financial corruption.TAM-GEROGE said the Rivers State Government wants the Federal Government to address structural imbalance in Nigeria’s federalism.
