The Rivers State Government has criticized the widely reported statement credited to the Head of Presidential Anti-corruption Committee, Professor ITSE SAGAY over the Supreme Court ruling on Rivers State Governorship election.A statement by the commissioner for information and communication, AUSTIN TAM GEORGE described professor SAGAY as one of the most opportunistic enablers of the regime of ROTIMI AMAECHI in Rivers State who had found the courage to launch a bitter and unwarranted attack at the justices of the supreme court.The statement quoted professor SAGAY as alleging without any shred of proof that everybody knows that people like WIKE climbed into the governorship seat, over dead bodies and over blood of human beings, alleging that there were no elections and that results were merely written.The Commissioner expressed surprise that the trained lawyer could resort to an unsubstantiated hearsay spread according to him by the All Progressives Congress.He said it was sad that in the twilight of an unremarkable career, professor SAGAY was seeking to be the dubious originator of the jurisprudence of everybody knows, even without evidence.The statement called on the international community to restrain the All Progressives Congress from its desperate attempts to politically dominate the people and plundering resources of the country.
