The protest started yesterday, as the ex-militants disrupted commercial activities in the area, leading to the intervention of a team of Joint Task Force operatives.
On resumption of their agitation today, the ex-militants took their complaint to the Office of the State Security Service in Port Harcourt. The protesters are accusing the management of one of the paying commercial banks and some so-called militant commanders of attempting to defraud them of their allowances.
Correspondent LEVI ISU reports that the protesting ex-militants have also threatened to block the Aba Road if their demands to access their accounts are not met before the end of today.
