The Nigerian Defence Headquarters has warned that it will not condone any acts by any person or group of persons that are capable of causing a breaking down of law and order in any part of the country.

The Nigerian Defence Headquarters has warned that it will not condone any acts by any person or group of persons that are capable of causing a breaking down of law and order in any part of the country.The Defence Headquarters therefore advised citizens to refrain from taking the law into their hands and avoid actions that may cause breach to harmonious co-existence.It said individuals or groups that are seeking relevance should follow the due process in accordance with the law of the land and not through acts of brigandage. The Defence Headquarters also advice the general public to ignore what it described as inciting pictures, videos and statements posted on social media platforms.The Acting Director of Defence Information, Brigadier-General RABE ABUBAKAR said such postings have been confirmed to be the creation of Photoshop, with the intention of causing disharmony and divisions among different nationalities.The Defence spokesman said the military and security agencies will continue to sustain the current operation against terrorists, oil thieves, cattle rustlers and other forms of criminalities.The Defence authorities urged all law abiding citizens to go about their normal businesses and report any suspicious persons or object to the nearest security post for prompt action.
