The Nigerian Army says much of the gains being recorded in the ongoing fight against Boko Haram insurgents can be traced to the quality of the new leadership in place.The Chief of Civil-Military Affairs of the Nigerian Army Headquarters, Brigadier-General NICHOLAS ROGERS said the Chief of Army Staff has been able to lead by example.Brigadier-General ROGERS who was a guest of a television programme monitored in Port Harcourt, said because the Chief of Army Staff is always in the frontline of the anti-insurgency operation, other soldiers have no option than to follow his command.The Army officer also underscored the improvement in welfare for soldiers as well as upgrade in equipment which he attributed to government’s zero-tolerance for corruption.Brigadier-General NICHOLAS ROGERS is the Chief of Civil-Military Affairs of the Nigerian Army Headquarters.
