The Nigerian Army has made clarification on the conviction of Brigadier General E.A. RANSOME-KUTI by a General Court Martial at the Army Headquarters Garrison.

The Nigerian Army has made clarification on the conviction of Brigadier General E.A. RANSOME-KUTI by a General Court Martial at the Army Headquarters Garrison.
In reference to media inquiry on the judgment, the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel SANI USMAN said the accused persons was found guilty of failure to perform military duties, and  was dismissed from the Nigerian Army. The Army spokesman also informed that Brigadier General RANSOME-KUTI was equally found guilty of miscellaneous offences relating to service property, and was awarded six months imprisonment.
However; the first count of cowardly behavior against Brigadier General RANSOME-KUTI was struck out. In the meantime; the Nigerian Army says the Zonal Screening Exercise for applicants of the 74 Regular Recruits Intake will now take place in all twelve designated centres in the six geo-political zones from 30th November to 12th December, 2015.
