The Nigeria Customs Service says it has not commenced the process of recruiting new personnel. The Customs also reminded stakeholders that the auction of seized or overtime cargo remains suspended till further notice. The clarification was made in a statement issued by the Deputy Public Relations Officer of the NSC, JOSEPH ATTAH, on behalf of the Comptroller-General of Customs, retired Col HAMEED IBRAHIM ALI. He said the reminder became necessary to prevent people from being defrauded by criminal elements who open fake Facebook accounts in the name of the Comptroller-General of Customs, advertising job vacancies, auction and contracts.
