The National Executive Committee meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party that was earlier fixed for this weekend has been postponed.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, OLISA METUH, reportedly said the decision to shift the NEC meeting was based on the request of those he described as critical stakeholders in the National Working Committee.METUH said following the development, the meeting of the National Caucus of the PDP will now take place on Monday next week, while the National Executive Committee will meet a day after.The series of meetings will discuss latest developments within the ranks of the PDP, including the recent court order obtained by Alhaji AHMED GULAK to declare himself as National Chairman of the party.Leaders of the party would also review the recent defection and resignation by some senior members of the PDP, including former Senate President, KEN NNAMANI, former governor of Anambra State, Chief JIM NWOBODO and former House of Representatives member, UCHE EKWUNIFE whose election to the Senate was nullified.
