The leadership of the Nigerian Senate has acknowledged receipt of a notice served by a private legal practitioner, threatening to drag the National Assembly court over the jumbo pay package for legislators.
Port Harcourt-based lawyer, CHUKS LESTER UGURU, had sent a letter to the Senate President, BUKOLA SARAKI, threatening to go to court if nothing was done to review the pay package for federal legislators downwards.
The Senate President acknowledged receipt of the document in a reply dated 10th of August and signed by his Special Adviser on Legal Matters, I. T. EL-SUDI.
