The Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by Rivers State Governor has again delayed a decision on whether to accept a verbal application for stay of the matter involving former commissioner of agriculture, EMMA CHINDA. On the resumption of sitting in Port Harcourt yesterday; the Commission resolved to take a final decision on the matter today when counsel to the former commission, KEN ATSUWETE is expected to inform the commission of a suit filed by his client at the State High Court. The Chairman of the Commission; Justice GEORGE OMEREJI adjourned the matter following a letter presented by ATSUWETE on behalf of his client. Correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the commission of inquiry also continued its investigation of the transaction involving the state-owned Olympia Hotels. Members of the commission also took a tour of the site of Olympia Hotels within Old GRA area in Port Harcourt.
