The Federal Government has confirmed the payment of over four hundred and seven billion naira for petrol subsidy claims to oil marketers in a bid to end fuel distribution crisis across the country.

The Federal Government has confirmed the payment of over four hundred and seven billion naira for petrol subsidy claims to oil marketers in a bid to end fuel distribution crisis across the country.The Minister of Finance, KEMI ADEOSUN made this known in a statement signed by MARSHALL GUNDU who is the Director of Press in the Ministry.The Finance Minister said President MUHAMMADU BUHARI directed that the payment be made immediately in order to bring to a quick end the lingering fuel crisis which has caused great suffering to Nigerian families and businesses.She also said despite the drop in revenue, the Federal Government will continue to ensure that fuel is available to Nigerians.The statement from the Ministry of Finance said details of the approved payments under the subsidy scheme will be published in national dailies as has been the practice.
