The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arraigned a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, RICKEY TARFA, before a Lagos High Court.
The senior lawyer is facing charges of obstruction of justice before the Lagos High Court sitting at Igbosere on the Lagos Island.
You will recall that the arrest and detention of RICKY TARFA by the EFCC last week attracted mostly criticism from other legal practitioners across the country.Operatives of the anti-graft agency moved in against the Senior Advocate of Nigeria for allegedly hiding two foreign suspects – NAZAIRE GNANHOUE and MODESTE FINAGNON – who are from the Republic of Benin.The foreigners were accused of fraudulently converting some equipment belonging to a manufacturing firm for their own use.
