The death toll in the twin explosions in the Chinese port city of Tianjin has exceeded fifty. The number of people injured in the massive blast from a warehouse where dangerous chemicals are stored in the port has also hit seven hundred and counting. Reports say thirty-six people are still missing, while twelve firefighters are among the dead. The blasts caused a huge fireball that could be seen from space, and also sent broken glasses and debris flying all around. Buildings and vehicles within a radius of two kilometers were also destroyed.
