The Chairman of the Rives State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Majesty King DANDISON DOUGLAS JAJA JEKI wants civil servants to show commitment to their duties. King JAJA JEKI urged the civil servants to contribute to the development of the state through their various duty posts which would cause the government to recognise them. JAJA JEKI also urged the government to pay more attention to the welfare of workers through prompt payment of salaries.
The traditional ruler was speaking when leaders of the Rivers State chapter of the Nigerian Civil Service Union paid him a visit in his office in Port Harcourt. In his response, the state Chapter Chairman of the Union, LILLY WEST blamed poor relation between the workers and employers for the low productivity of public workers. LILY WEST is the Chairman of the Nigerian Civil Service Union in Rivers State.
