The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Benue South Senatorial re-run election, DANIEL ONJEH, has promised to challenge the victory of Senator DAVID MARK.DANIEL ONJEH announced his tension after the Independent national Electoral Commission declared Senator David Mark of the Peoples Democratic Party as winner of the election on Saturday, to sustain his stay in the National Assembly from 1999.Declaring the results of the rerun, the INEC Senatorial Returning Officer, ISHAQ ENEJI, said MARK polled eighty-four thousand, one hundred and ninety-two votes while ONJEH scored seventy one thousand, six hundred and twenty-one votes.
Meanwhile, ONJEH who is former student leader, said he would seek the nullification of the victory of Senator MARK on the grounds of over voting and ballot box stuffing. He is also raising issues over the twenty one thousand votes that were cancelled.
