The Inquiry headed by Justice MONIMA WENIKE DANAGOGO is to investigate the violence that disrupted the re-run legislative elections on 19th of March in some local government areas.But Senator ABE described the Commission of Inquiry as a sham, alleging that Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE had set the stage that led to the violent disruption of the re-run.Senator MAGNUS ABE made known his position on the latest developments in Rivers State during a media briefing in Abuja.The APC candidate for Rivers South-East Senatorial District also recounted the circumstances leading to the suspension of the re-run elections in most of the local government areas in that district.Senator MAGNUS ABE wandered why the Independent National Electoral Commission was reluctant to announce the results of the re-run election in Tai Local Government Area.He said the position of INEC was curious because voting in Tai was concluded and ballots collated up to the local government level.Senator ABE also made very serious allegations against some INEC officials and defended those he believed are upright but are being unduly maligned by the ruling party in Rivers State.In his remarks during the media briefing in Abuja; the APC Vice Chairman for Rivers South East, JAMES KOBAH, alleged that INEC as presently constituted is being controlled by some political parties.
