The Bayelsa State Police Command has put its personnel and equipment on alert to ensure adequate security for the governorship election. The move comes ahead of a planned visit by the Inspector-General of Police, SOLOMON ARASE, who is expected to arrive in Yenagoa tomorrow. The Police Public Relations Officer of the Bayelsa State Police Command, ASINIM BUTWAT, told newsmen that several Armoured Personnel Carriers have been mobilised. The Central Naval Command and the Nigerian Air Force are also mobilising their personnel for the election.
