The Bayelsa State Police Command has dismissed claims of alleged assassination attempt on former president GOODLUCK JONATHAN.The command spokesman ASINIM BUTSWAT however confirmed that five men were intercepted for breaching the former president’s convoy around the state capital in Yenagoa.The police public relations officer explained that the men were discovered to have joined the convoy unknowingly, having mistaken it for a campaign train.ASINIM BUTSWAT said there was no attempt on the former president, adding that a search on the Lexus SUV the men were driving showed they were not armed.He said after interrogation, the men showed remorse and were allowed to go.
