The All Progressives Congress says it has nothing to do with the procedure for states to secure the bailout fund offered by the Federal Government, through the Central Bank of Nigeria. The explanation was made against the backdrop of complaint of alleged political interference by the Kogi State government and the PDP Governors’ Forum, leading to delay in releasing the bailout funds. National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Alhaji LAI MOHAMMED, said in a statement that the party is not to blame for the development. The statement noted that the APC had no business with the release or otherwise of bailout funds to Kogi state, adding that those who have issues should sort it out with the Central Bank. The APC spokesman said information available to the party indicates that the Kogi State government has not been able to justify the over fifty billion Naira it is asking for as bailout funds. The APC said it was curious that the Kogi State government had signified that it intends to use over forty billion naira out of the bailout grant for the payment of salaries of Local Government workers. The party wandered what happened to Local Government allocations collected by the state since 2011.
