Tension in Rivers as Supreme Court sets January 15 for hearing of guber petition against Fubara

Patrick Tonye-Cole is praying the court amongst others, to sack Siminalayi Fubara as governor for not resigning as Accountant General of the state even as a candidate of the PDP in the last election.

Tonye-Cole has also argued that Siminalayi Fubara was not qualified to contest the last election as governorship candidate.

On another ground, the APC governorship candidate is asking the court to cancel some of the local government Areas for wants of irregularities or he should be declared winner of the election

Patrick Tonye-Cole’s suit was dismissed at the tribunal for lacking in merit in all the grounds but also won some of the grounds at the Appeal court before proceeding to Supreme court.
