The teachers also want the state government to conduct promotion interviews for the 2014 to 2019 academic years as well as the payment of the February and March, 2016 omitted salaries.
The State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers, LUCKY NKPOGENE who made the demand was speaking on the occasion of 2019 World Teachers Day.
NKPOGENE also stressed the need for government to provide accommodation; means of motility for teachers which he maintained will help them to discharge their duties efficiently and effectively.
The NUT boss also decried the lack of teaching and learning materials in public schools since the introduction of free education by the state government.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, DAGOGO HART said all the demands of the teachers have already been forwarded to the office of the governor for attention.
