The Deputy Governor, Doctor IPALIBO HARRY BANIGO is leading efforts to reconcile the people of Korokoro community in Tai and Afam-Ukwu in Oyigbo.
Doctor BANIGO has already sent a fact-finding mission to the communities, which was led by a member of the Rivers State Boundary Committee, Chief SILAS ENEYO.
During the interaction; the representative of the Deputy Governor advised leaders and youth of Rivers State to avoid utterances and actions that could spark communal crises.
He urged the two neigbouring communities to continue to embrace dialogue and explore amicable resolution of the boundary dispute.
Chief ENEYO cautioned against anyone or group taking the laws into their hands in order not to undermine the prevailing peaceful atmosphere in the state.
The Deputy Governor doubles as Chairman of the Rivers State Boundary Committee.
