Rivers state chairman of water producers association of Nigeria Egberi Mackson who made this known in an interview with Todayfm’s Sandra Kenneth said the agreement was reached due to tripling cost of production.
He explained that fares for transporting goods and price of PMS to run factories have pushed the sector to review and increase the prices in order to remain in business.
Egberi also frowned at what he described as indiscriminate taxes by state and local government despite economic situation.
He further called on federal government to give waivers to importer of necessary materials, stressing that it will help the ease of production.
