The PDP Governor’s Forum described the freezing of the personal accounts of Governor FAYOSE by the EFCC as gross abuse of the constitution.

Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Doctor OLUSEGUN MIMIKO who is the Governor of Ondo State, urged President MUHAMMADU BUHARI to call the EFCC to order.

Governor MIMIKO contends that action of the EFCC was against the provision of Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution on the immunity of state governors.

Similarly; the Ekiti State House of Assembly has accused the EFCC of overreaching its powers in the order freezing Governor FAYOSE’s personal bank accounts.

The resolution of the State Legislature was part of a vote of confidence on Governor FAYOSE.
