Governor Wike who made this known during the commissioning of Ahoada Ekpeana road in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state, frowned at the continued kidnappings and social vices in the area.
The governor who also questioned the duties of the traditional rulers in ensuring the security of the domain, threatened to deal with people whose actions he said are affecting economic activities in the area.
Wike further noted that the duties of the community head and representative is to ensure peace and growth of economic activities in their areas by securing the infrastructures put in place by the state government.
On his part, former governor of Kaduna state, Ahmed Markafi who commissioned the project applauded the Rivers state government for its effort in ensuring infrastructural development, which he said would enhance the growth and productivity of Rivers people.
