The South-South Youth Initiative has commended the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, for awarding scholarships to youths in the region to study abroad.
National President of the group, Imeabe Saviour Oscar, gave the commendation in an interview with newsmen, describing the initiative as a step toward empowering young people through education and capacity development.
He, however, appealed to the Commission to ensure that less privileged youths across the Niger Delta are given priority in the scholarship programme, stressing that the opportunity should benefit those who need it most.
