Some six thousand, eight hundred ad hoc staff are to be deployed by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the re-run legislative elections in Rivers State.The elections on 19th of March will cover three senatorial districts, ten House of Representatives seats and over twenty state constituency seats.The State Resident Electoral Commissioner, ANIEDI IKOIWAK, said the ad hoc personnel are drawn from the National Youth Service Corps and Federal institutions in Rivers State.IKOIWAK made the clarifications against the backdrop of allegations that political parties were submitting list of their preferred candidate for INEC to use for the elections.He said the INEC secretariat in Rivers State is working strictly based on directive from the National Office in Abuja in a bid to correct the shortcomings of the 2015 general elections.
