A security source told AFP that the car bomb attack claimed by the Al-Qaeda linked Shabaab, claimed at least nine lives.
The captured Al-Shabaab operative was identified as ABDIWELI KHALIF Ahmed also known as ISSA TARABUN and was said to be in charge of lethal operations in stronghold areas.
Internal Security minister Mohamed ABUKAR DUALE stated that the Al-Shabaab officer was captured following a security operation conducted in Bakara Market, the largest trading centre in Mogadishu.
