The Sokoto State Police Command has arrested some youths suspected of involvement in the alleged rape and subsequent death of a 27-year-old woman, identified as Fatima Bizo, in Yarume village, Wamakko Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects were reportedly taken into custody following the incident, as police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
The command is expected to establish the facts of the case and determine the individual roles of those arrested.
The police have also reiterated the need for members of the public to cooperate with investigators by providing relevant information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.
