Shettima Departs Abuja to Represent Nigeria at 80th UN General Assembly

Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for New York to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

The global event is scheduled to hold from Monday, September 22, to Sunday, September 28, in the United States of America.

Shettima will represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Assembly, where he is expected to deliver Nigeria’s national statement. He will also participate in the UN high-level general debates alongside world leaders and attend several side events focused on global development, peace, and cooperation.
