SHETTIMA COMMISSIONS 33.5KM ELELE-EGBEDA-OMOKU DUAL CARRIAGEWAY

Vice President Kashim Shettima has described infrastructure development as a means of creating and distributing opportunities across Nigeria.

Shettima stated this while commissioning the 33.5-kilometre Elele-Egbeda-Omoku dual carriageway in Rivers State, which connects Ikwerre, Emohua and Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Areas.

The Vice President said every infrastructure project creates opportunities for citizens and stressed that government has a responsibility to ensure such opportunities are distributed across the country. He commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for committing public funds to the road project.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Fubara said the presence of the Vice President reaffirmed that Rivers State is an integral part of Nigeria. He added that the road would contribute to improving security in the area.
