The CDC chairman of Ibaa community, Solomon Wejinya had in a statement, claimed that all the CDC’S in communities in Emohua gathered and passed a vote of confidence on Omereji and asked him to run for the chairmanship position in the forthcoming council elections.
But the Community Development Committee Chairman of Ovogo, Okogbule Frank in reaction to the purported statement, said there was never a time the CDC’S met and agreed to endorse anyone.
Frank insisted that if the CDC’S will endorse anybody from Emohua, it should be someone from the middle belt which he said has been marginalized for so long.
Also speaking, the CDC Chairman of Rundele community, Elendu Kpalukwu describe as impersonation, the act of using someone’s office to make false claims, just as he disowned the statement from Solomon Wejinya, insisting that they never met to agree on endorsing any candidate.
He urged members of the public to disregard the statement by Wejinya and his friends, and instead, should join the agitation by the middle belt for the sake of equity, fairness and justice.
