General OLONISAKIN gave the charge at an emergency meeting with all the service chiefs and senior military commanders at the Command Headquarters of Operation Lafiya Dole in Maiduguri,
The service chiefs met to review the counter-terrorism operations in the North-East based on the orders of the Acting President, Professor YEMI OSINBAJO.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, the Director of Defence Information, Major General JOHN ENENCHE said it marked the commencement of the Military Command and Control Center in Maiduguri by the service chiefs.
Major General ENENCHE said the Acting President’s directive to the service chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri means more operational time would be spent in the theatre of Operation in view of the deteriorating security situation in the area.
He maintained that the earlier ultimatum on the arrest of Boko Haram leader ABUBAKAR SHEKAU still stands.
The Defence spokesman appealed to the general public to assist the military with credible information to tackle the menace of Boko Haram terrorism.
