Reports say French investigators are of the opinion that PAPA DIACK, who is the son of a former International Olympic Committee member LAMINE DIACK, tipped the bid in favour of the Brazilian city.
The report claim that a Brazilian businessman paid one point five million dollars to PAPA DIACK days before the host city was chosen.
The French justice department suspects that the money may have been used to influence the votes, despite insistence by Rio 2016 organisers that the vote was clean.
