Senator Lawan made the pledge while declaring open, an investigative public hearing on the alleged financial recklessness.
The Senate President said mismanagement of public funds to the tune of N80bn prompted the upper chamber to probe the commission.
The Nigerian Senate also condemned the absence of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, at the investigative public hearing on the alleged financial recklessness in the Niger Delta Development Commission.
Chairman of the Senate ad hoc panel, Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi, expressed disappointment at the absence of Akpabio whom he said refused to acknowledge or respond to any of his committee’s correspondences.
