Senator Lawan made the call while contributing to a motion on the “Power Sector Recovery Plan and the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic” sponsored by Senator Gabriel Suswam of Benue North East.
He said the time has come to review and probably reverse the privatization, adding that if the nation leaves the Distribution and Generation Companies for the next 10 years there would be no power in Nigeria.
Lawan said he expected efficiency, effectiveness in power supplies but that probably on both sides the government and the investors, the purchase agreements were not adhered to.
