The President of the Senate, BUKOLA SARAKI, announced the date before the close of plenary yesterday.
This comes a week after a letter from the Acting President, Professor YEMI OSINBAJO, conveying the decision of the Presidency to confirm the appointment of Justice ONNOGHEN, was read on the floor of the Senate.
You will recall that Justice ONNOGHEN has since been presiding over the Supreme Court as the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Justice ONNOGHEN is presently on his second term as Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, following the delay in sending his name to the Senate for confirmation.
