Senate to consider Anti-Tobacco smoking Bill.

Senator SARAKI gave the assurance in his capacity as the Chairman of the National Assembly, just as he pledged to ensure enforcement with existing laws regulating the use of tobacco.

The Senate President stressed the need to maintain the standards set by the World Health Organization, adding that Nigeria cannot be allowed to become a dumping ground for goods that have negative implications for the health citizens. 

Senator SARAKI was speaking when he received a delegation of civil society groups led by the Director of the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, BINTOU CAMARA.
