The Senate also urged the 36 States of the Federation to earmark certain amount in their yearly budget for the establishment of cottage industries in one or two Local Government Areas in their states.
The resolution of the Senate followed a motion by Bayelsa Senator, Biobara-Kuma Degi-Eremienyo which was seconded by Senator George Sekibo of Rivers East Senatorial district.
Senate President Ahmed Lawan in his submission said the establishment and sustainable development of Cottage industries will solve the issue of unemployment.
The Nigerian Senate ended plenary by directing all the relevant agencies to resuscitate all the federal government moribund industries.
