LAWAN made the call to security operatives during an emergency meeting with the leadership of the Senate.
He stressed that an urgent arrangement will be made to tighten security at the complex and also make sure officers are more on red alert.
The Senate President said this became necessary after he was informed by the Department of State Security, DSS of threats of attack on the building.
As part of its moves to avert the threats, AHMED LAWAN said that the Senate has set up an ad-hoc committee.
