Senator BUKOLA SARAKI wants the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to name the owner of the apartment and the sum of forty-three million dollars in various currencies.
Speaking on a television interview; Senator SARAKI observed that the controversy over the recovery was painting a bad image about Nigeria.
Senator SARAKI reportedly said there was no reason for the controversy to have come up in the first place, if the EFCC had revealed who owns the money.
Meanwhile; latest reports on the Ikoyi billions saga indicate that operatives of the EFCC have searched one of the apartments in Osborne Towers owned by former Governor of Anambra State, PETER OBI.
A report quoted PETER OBI’s media aide, VALENTINE OBIENYEM, confirming that EFCC operatives searched Flat One in the high rise building, which is occupied by the former governor, but nothing was found.
