The Senate President, BUKOLA SARAKI has also urged other relevant committees with pending investigations into allegation of corruption involving government officials to hasten up work and submit their reports.
Senator SARAKI assured that the Senate would remain resilient in its duties, as he called on Nigerians not to allow themselves to be used by corrupt politicians to sabotage the just cause.
Senator SARAKI’s remark was made against the backdrop of a Point of Order by the Senate Deputy Leader, Senator BALA NA’ALLAH, in which he recalled how the Senate started the investigation that eventually led to the termination of the appointment of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Senator NA’ALLAH equally recalled how the Senate was blackmailed and insulted for instituting the probe in the handling of funds meant for the tackling of humanitarian crisis in the North East by a presidential task force.
He also lamented that some young Nigerians were mobilized to occupy the National Assembly in support of the sacked official who was being investigated.
