Senate caucus of APC drops Ndume as leader.

Senator NDUME was replaced with Senator AHMED LAWAN, was had been the APC fovourite for the position of Senate President of the Eighth National Assembly, before the maneuver that saw the emergence of Senator BUKOLA SARAKI.

Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that the decision of the APC Caucus was contained in a letter to the Senate President on resumption of plenary today.

According to the letter which was read on the floor of the Senate by Senator SARAKI, the APC Senate Caucus said it took the decision to drop Senator NDUME and adopt Senator LAWAN during its meeting yesterday.

After the plenary, Senator NDUME told newsmen that he was surprised at the decision by the APC Senate Caucus.

Senator NDUME said he was not aware of what led to the decision or where the APC Senate Caucus held its meeting and resolved to have him removed .
