This was done through the passage of the Bill for an Act to Establish the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, which was sponsored by Senator OVIE OMO-AGEGE of the PDP for Delta Central.
Leading debate on the bill, Senator OMO-AGEGE observed that the university had existed without a legal framework.
The Delta State Senator also informed his colleagues that the Petroleum Resources University has moved to its permanent site and has produced four sets of graduates in Sciences and another two sets of graduates in Engineering.
