Security Operatives Seal Venue of Pan-Niger Delta Forum Meeting in Port Harcourt

A source within Hotel Presidential informed our correspondent that members of staff resumed work early this morning to meet the massive security deployment.
On of the leaders of PANDEF claims that the security deployment was done on the orders of the State Government to stop the gathering of PANDEF leaders for their General Assembly.
Another source alleged that the move is in response to threats by unnamed youth groups to disrupt the gathering of the Niger Delta elders.
Our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR who is monitoring developments at the scene, counted about twenty-five security patrol trucks around the hotel.
Foremost Ijaw leader, Chief EDWIN CLARK was among Niger Delta leader expected to address the PNADEF fourth general assembly.
Recall we brought you a report on Monday when PANDEF leaders, including Alabo GRAHAM DOUGLAS, addressed a news conference in Port Harcourt to set the stage for today’s event.
During the media briefing; Alabo GRAHAM DOUGLAS highlighted how far the Niger Delta elders have gone in achieving their demands from the Federal Government.
He recalled that their initial list of sixteen-point demands had been increased to twenty-four, which he said the government had show commitment in addressing them.
