In a statement obtained by our correspondent, the spokesman of the Senate President, YUSUF OLANIYONU, said Senator SARAKI has nothing to do with the importation of vehicles.
OLANIYONU noted disclosed that a supplier was engaged by the Senate to supply a vehicle, but it was impounded during transit from Lagos to Abuja.
He said the issue is between the supplier and the Nigeria Customs Service, since the Senate was yet to take delivery of the vehicle.
Senator SARAKI’s spokesman wandered why anyone would want to drag the name of his principal into the issue.
