The Acting General Manager of the agency, Napoleon Adah, in an interview with Today FM’s Sandra Kenneth, said provision of toilets in motor parks, markets, and other public places will help in eradicating open defecation in the state.
Expressing worry that Nigeria is among the top three countries in the world with the highest rate of open defecation, Adah called on members of the public to desist from defecating in open places, noting that it would lead to health crisis.
He assured that plans have been put in place to ensure local government councils also cue into the fight against open defecation.
