The group in a statement signed by Clinton Amueh and Sotonye Oruwari, while commending Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his leadership style, noted that the 2024 budget is in order and is aimed at addressing critical areas of human capital development, education, health and social security.
They, however, appealed to the state government to reinstate them as lecturers as ordered by the court, stressing that it will help ease off the burden of the current economic situation.
The group also voiced their concern over the current political crisis in the state, as they prayed for the success of Governor Fubara in restoring peace and development in the state.
It will interest you to know that in 2015, the Rivers State Government, under the leadership of Nyesom Wike sacked some lecturers in Ken Saro-Wiwa polytechnic.
The sacked lecturers have been on the news on several occasions, calling on the past administration to obey court order and reinstate them as lecturers.
