Russia’s Foreign Ministry said Moscow considers the US easing of arms restriction against the Syrian rebels as a hostile act that threatens the safety of Russian warplanes and military personnel.
A report by Russia’s RIA news agency quoted the ministry as saying that outgoing US President BARACK OBAMA was attempting to complicate the situation in the world before his successor, DONALD TRUMP takes over the White House in January.
Recall that the Russian government’s air force has been helping President BASHAR AL-ASSAD of Syria in the devastating civil war in that country.
