This followed appointment of the Chairman of the Community Development Committee, OMUNAKWE AMADI to manage the affairs of the community in interim capacity, pending the determination of the case in court between the two claimants to the stool.
Our correspondent gathered that the development followed an order of the Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, restraining the contestants to the stool.
One of the community leaders, Apostle BARTHOLOMEW EGEONU, made the revelation when he led other elders to the site of the newly constructed Wike-Link Road in the community.
Apostle EGEONU, who is one of the eldest men in the Rumuaghorlu, said they decided to rename the former Okemini road because of the impact it has created in the life of the people, just as he called on Rumuagholu people to stay united.
On his part, Elder LORD C. WOSU called on the Rivers State government to also consider constructing internal roads in Rumuaghorlu to help businesses in the area.
Meanwhile; the two contenders to the position of Nyewe-Ali Rumuaghorlu were not available for comments on the latest developments.
